James Long Construction Services was established in 1990 and has been Northern California’s leader in industrial planning, designing, and building for over 30 years. The company’s primary market focus is the water and wastewater treatment industry. We furnish and install work in various segments of a project including air conditioning installations, VRF/VRV systems, process ventilation and exhaust systems (including FRP foul air ductwork and fans), wall louvers, fume exhaust systems, HVAC control systems, architectural sheet metal, metal roof installations and sound attenuation.
Founded by James and Karen Long, James is the former President with over fifty years of experience in the sheet metal air conditioning industry. He retired from the company in 2015. Karen was the secretary and treasurer of the corporation with over 30 years of experience with the company. She retired in 2019.
James and Karen’s legacy is carried on by their grandsons, Bradley Tucker and Matthew Tucker.

Matthew Tucker | Vice President, General Manager
Matt is a grandson of James Long and has been with James Long Construction for 16 years. Matt is a graduate of Cal State Chico with a degree in mathematics.
Bradley Tucker | Vice President, Lead Estimator
Brad is a grandson of James Long and been with James Long Construction for 16 years. Brad has several years of field experience working with his grandfather on numerous construction job sites beginning when he was fifteen years old. Brad primarily handles all estimating and subcontract/project startup.
Andrew Scruggs | Project Manager, Commissioning Agent
Andy has been in the HVAC industry for over 40 years with the last 36 years in Environmental Controls. Andy has extensive knowledge of all types of HVAC equipment startup/services and is certified by many manufacturers as an authorized startup/service technician.
Matthew Eiferle | Project Manager
Matt has been employed with James Long Construction for 8 years. Matt started in the field installer and has transitioned to Project Manager for the last 3 years.
Michael Springer | Lead Foreman, Field Installer
Mike has been with James Long Construction for over 18 years as a field installer. Mike is our lead foreman and specializes in equipment, ductwork, and FRP installation.
Charles Heidt | Lead Superintendent, Field installer
Chuck has been with James Long Construction for over 16 years as a field installer. Chuck is our lead superintendent and specializes in air conditioning installations, refrigerant piping, and sheet metal work.
